newest entry: Schöne Fremde (2016)

The contract involved producing a poster, flyer and programme. I was invited to explore the “beautiful strange” as the given thematic outline for a prominent illustration that sets the stage—so to speak—for this amateur theatre festival.

My clients and I agreed that birth-giving involves both beauty and a strange environment, doesn’t need a long explanation, and leaves enough room for interpretation. After a few different versions I arrived at a strong hot-and-cold contrast and a babies expression of wonder.
